The Dangerous Mating Game of the New Zealand Pea Crab

Oliver Trottier and Andrew Jeffs (Institute of Marine Science, University of Auckland, New Zealand)

Dr. Andrew Greig Jeffs is Professor of University of Auckland and Oliver Trottier is his PhD student of the same university. Their research focuses on the relationship between green-lipped mussels and New Zealand pea crabs, which live inside mussel shells.

The Private Sex Life of Crustaceans Symbiotic with Molluscs: Model Systems in Behavioural Ecology

J. Antonio Baeza (Department of Biological Sciences, Clemson University, South Carolina, USA)

Dr. Antonio Baeza is an Assistant Professor of Clemson University, USA. He is interested in various topics in the fields of evolutionary biology, molecular phylogenetics & phylogeography and fisheries biology. One of his current research programs includes ecological study on symbiotic relationship between marine commensal decapod crustaceans and their host invertebrates.

Crustaceans as Inhabitants of Molluscan Hosts: from Commensal Guests to Body-Snatchers

Emiliano H. Ocampo (Institute of Marine and Coastal Research, University of Mar del Plata, Argentina)

Dr. Emiliano Hernan Ocampo is Research Assistant of University of Mar del Plata, Argentina. His research interests include marine invertebrate ecology, especially reproductive biology of symbiotic and parasitic crustaceans, as well as morphology, systematics, phylogeny and life history of crustacean decapods and their phylogeography, population genetics, and DNA barcoding

Living Together with Crustaceans: Evolution and Adaptation of Symbiotic Mollusks

Ryutaro Goto (Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, University of Michigan, USA)

Dr. Ryutato Goto is a JSPS Postodoctoral Fellow of University of Michigan, USA. His research focuses on evolutionary and ecological aspects of parasitic or symbiotic relationship among marine macrob-benthic animals.

Parasitic Ecology of Peregrinamor ohshimai Associated with Upogebiid Shrimps

Gyo Itani (Graduate School of Kuroshio Science, Kochi University, Japan)

Dr. Gyo Itani is Associate Professor of Kochi University, Japan. His research interests include symbiotic, parasitic, and commensal relationship between macro-benthic animals in mud flats. Especially, recent his interests are ecological relationship between thalassinid shrimps and other macro-benthic animals in mud flats.

Effects of a Crustacean Parasite and a Hyperparasite on the Oyster Saccostrea kegaki

Noriko Yasuoka and Yoichi Yusa (Graduate School of Humanities and Sciences, Nara Women's University, Japan)

Miss Noriko Yasuoka is a graduate course student of Nara Women's University, Japan, and Professor Yoichi Yusa of the same university is a supervisor of her. They are studying population ecology study of the oyster Crassostrea, especially, intraspecific variation in sexuality, including dioecy as well as sequential and simultaneous hermaphroditism, and parasitic relationship between a pea crab and the oyster.

Life History of the Commensal Pea Crab Arcotheres sp. Living in the Bivalve Barbatia virescens

Tetsuya Watanabe (Curator, Nishinomiya Shell Museum, Japan) and Yasuhisa Henmi (Aitsu Marine Biological Station, Kumamoto University, Japan).

Dr. Tetsuya Watanabe is Curator of Nishinomiya Shell Museum, Japan, and Professor Yasuhisa Henmi of Aitsu Marine Biological Station, Kumamoto University, was his supervisor when he was s graduate course student. Doctoral dissertation by Watanabe is ecological study on relationship between the commensal pea crab Arcotheres sp. and its host bivalve Barbatia virescens
